Your family property

The family seat is a portion of land of approximately one hectare (100m x 100m or 10,000m2) inhabited by a family. One hectare is large enough to provide living and food space for a family and small enough to be worked by a family.

The mansion is surrounded by a living fence, me. a kind of dense hedge of trees and shrubs, which represents the natural border with the neighboring country and at the same time already berries, fruits, nuts, wood and wind protection for people living in it and the habitat of many animals. A variety of robust and native woody plants are selected, as well as annual and perennial climbers. Plants that produce fruits and nuts, beans and other edible plants make Living Fence a provider of staple foods on the property. Fruits are eaten directly on daily trips or stored during winter. A large part of the country is planted with forests, fruit trees and walnuts, so over the years a mixed forest grows. Fruits and nuts are one of the pillars of nutrition.

In each field farm, a pond is created, suitable for swimming and contributing to the biotope and biodiversity. Rainwater can be collected here and used for irrigation or as a potion. In addition, the pond can serve as a natural refrigerator.

A vegetable and herb garden provides another significant contribution to the food supply. Here, the focus is on performance and an orderly design of the garden in raised beds simplifies the attention. The layers of shrubs and spirals of herbs may be suitable methods and smaller fields are possible for grain cultivation or grazing.

The house on the farm is built with natural materials and takes into account low heating energy consumption and the individual needs of each resident. To spend a lot of time outdoors, a summer kitchen and a summer shower are available.
